Still in its original paper box, which is beautiful on its own, this Hawaiian doll from 1968 is a true collector’s item with all of its pieces still together. She’s clothed in a holokuu with a natural paper lei and real grass skirt, and the inside includes an extra dress in a gorgeous, colorful retro print. Her eyes blink closed and limbs move. The box has its original “Elsie Denney Honolulu Hawaii” sticker and has a signed pen mark on the inside from 1968. Besides her grass skirt being slightly bent, she’s in amazing condition—she even has her original pamphlet that explains a bit about traditional Hawaiian fashion.
*Interesting fact: All of the Elsie Denney, Inc. grass skirts were handwoven by the blind.
