Though I cannot confirm the exact date of this chic little clutch, Walborg was a NY-based company that thrived in the small sophisticated handbag market from the '50s to the '80s. Though you can find a number of beaded Walborg bags out there, this is the only one like this that I've seen. Its hard exterior with rounded edges has a beautiful surface that's lined with small pieces of a shell-like material. It's finished off with a shiny gold clasp that pops right into a little socket to keep the bag closed. The inside is lined with tan felt and a classic gold trim, and reads "Made in Italy."
Condition: Though the felt on the inside is a tiny bit worn in (naturally due to its age), the exterior is in great condition. The shell-like surface is perfect, while the gold metal clasp has some slight wear.
